Abstract
This article examines the national and cultural specificity of phraseological units with the anthroponymic component of French and Uzbek languages. Proper names in the composition of phraseological units are divided into three groups: a) PhU, with a component of male and female names; b) PhU, connected with historical persons and PhU, ascending to the biblical subject; c) PhU, taken from literary sources and dating back to ancient history.
