The Effect of Urban Planning on Violence in Modern Cities

Abstract
This article revealed the impact of urban space, that include many buildings on citizens behaviour,and how this new urban plan affected their lives, formed by the application of several imported concepts, that came from different theories in construction and planning, and how suitable this new urban plan to the inhabitants of annaba city, through analysing the buildings architecture when compared tothe citizens bahaviour, neightboring and sociological relationships. The arcticle concluded to the fact that the new urban planning did not take in consideration the sociocultural specefications which caused negative feelings like exclusion, and insecurity and led to negative behaviours inside these residential areas, finally the study recommends limiting the spread of vertical urban construction and applying alternative urban plan structure with sociocultural standards that meets with the citizens requirements
