Concepção de paleta de cores para compósito de resíduo particulado de MDF com poliéster termofixo e aplicação em um produto conceitual

Consumption of MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) has intensified in Brazil indicating not only their use in finished products, but also the increase of their waste. Composites formulated with polymer matrix and particulate waste wood and its derivatives have been suggested as an alternative recycles them, taking them as raw material for new products. The literature shows the development efforts and the test of new combinations of matrices and wood particulate waste, focusing, however in the physical characteristics. This article aims to show the development of a color palette composite particulate waste MDF with thermosetting polyester, seeking to expand this horizon, from the point of view of Design and Sustainability. The MDF residue was collected in wooden lab of the design course of the Bahia State University with a polyester thermosetting resin as matrix. For the color palette were mixed small amounts of pigments, using experimental method analogous to artistic methods. Twenty- four colorful traits were developed to then be applied in a conceptual product, like a mosaic-like panel. The result, the color palette and the panel production process, shows a real possibility of their use in new products.
