Abstract
The article discusses the main aspects of the creation of high-performance cutting tools made of mineral ceramics. Recommendations on the optimum chemical composition and structural composition of powders for the manufacture of mineral ceramics in the field of tool production. Briefly presented an improved process of manufacturing mineral ceramics plates based on aluminum oxide. The influence of alloying elements on the mechanical properties of cutting plates from mineral ceramics. The data on the tests of inserts of mineral ceramics brands ВОК60, ВОК71, ЦМ332 manufactured using innovative technology for their manufacture.
