Abstract

Aim of the study was to study in the comparative aspect of the compliance to dental treatment of patients suffering from General diseases and inpatient treatment. Material and methods. The study involved 311 patients who are on hospital treatment in the departments of the National medical and surgical center named after N.I. Pirogov, including 104 men (33.44%) and 207 women (66.56%), aged 18 to 65 years and older. Results. It was found that among the socio-demographic indicators, the greatest share of influence on the compliance of dental patients with therapeutic pathologies of internal organs is provided by the presence of various types of free time F (2.183)=7.92, p=0.0005, ŋ2=0.079. In this group, patients with one type of leisure have the lowest compliance, but only in them we noted a moderate force correlation with the quality of their life. On this basis, it should be that increasing the compliance of these patients can be expected and a higher increase in the quality of their life in comparison with patients who have a more diverse leisure. The next most important socio-demographic indicators are sex and patient education: F (1.184)=12.82, p=0.0004, ŋ2=0.065 and F (2.183)=6.1, p=0.0028, ŋ2=0.062, respectively. Men have lower compliance than women, but men have a higher correlation with their quality of life. Therefore, increasing adherence to the treatment of dental patients with internal therapeutic disorders, we can expect higher quality of life in men than in women. Conclusion. Patients with secondary education have the lowest compliance, but the correlation with the quality of their life is higher in comparison with patients with higher and specialized secondary education, which can be interpreted as follows: motivating patients to strictly follow the recommendations of the dentist, we can more expect an increase in the quality of life in patients with secondary education. The field of activity of patients has a share of influence on the compliance of dental patients with therapeutic pathologies of internal organs, equal to F (3.182)=2.54, p=0.05, ŋ2=0.040. In this group, in our opinion, if we increase the compliance, the highest indicators of quality of life will be achieved by pensioners.
