Frente de pesquisa de títulos de livros: um estudo aplicado no campo da Educação Indígena

Derek de Solla Price can be considered one of the most important researchers of the metric studies. Among his many contributions to the scientometrics field, the research front concept is composed of the most cited authors in a given field of knowledge. The objective of this work is, based on the original idea of Price, to identify the research front of books and authors quoted in theses and dissertations defended between 2001 and 2016 in the field of research of Indigenous Education. The results pointed out that Clifford Geertz's book, The Interpretation of Cultures is the most cited title, while author Paulo Freire leads the research front of the cited literature. These results from these two research fronts demonstrate that both calculations are complementary and allow a better understanding of the configuration of the scientific literature that bases the research in the subfield of indigenous education.
