Deposit insurance and its role in increase of efficiency of activity of commercial Bank

In the modern Russian economy occupies a special place of problem connected with insufficient development of the banking sector. That is why there was created a system of Deposit insurance. The article discusses issues related to the history of the origin and development of this type of insurance, as well as identifying the main shortcomings of the system under study and ways to address them.
