Abstract
The new media have been transformed the habits and and format we read. In the transition from the information age to the knowledge age, digital becomes the most important in terms of production and distribution of knowledge asset. The Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have evolved by leaps and bounds in many fields. In terms of Human-Computer Interfaces they have created alternatives exponential possibilities regarding the development of new ways to publish and disseminate social content. Technologies such as tablets, interactive features, social networks, augmented reality, Cloud Readers and HTML5 features have enabled experience new ways of approaching knowledge and generate them. It is important to note how they have transformed digital productions through social phenomena, particularly regarding the collaborative production, the transmedia narratives and everything that gives us the collective intelligence network. The convergence of technological, social and cultural impels us to discuss possible scenarios ahead. In this article a review of the most significant milestones resulting from the process of democratization of access to knowledge and the future of digital publications will be made.
