Abstract
This paper presents the prediction of air flow, temperature patterns and mass fraction of water vapour in a co-current spray dryer fitted with rotary disc atomizer. The multiphase CFD model was developed in which the gas phase is modeled with Eulerian approach and droplet/particle phase is modeled by Lagrangian approach. The transition K-Kl-Omega model is used to model the turbulence in spray dryer. In this work the effect of cylinder height and diameter on air flow pattern has been studied.
