Abstract
This study investigated the information needs and usage by working class women in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State Nigeria. To actualize this, the study postulated five objectives. A researcher-developed questionnaire titled, “Information Needs and Usage by Working Class Women Questionnaire (INUWCWQ)”, was employed for data collection from one hundred and fifty (150) respondents. The data were analysed using the descriptive statistics. In the end, the study found out that the working class women are not interested in politics; the working class women got information materials from friends and colleagues; used information for religious activities; while housework and children responsibilities inhibited their search for information. The study recommended among others that husbands should encourage their wives (women) to visit libraries, social places and interact freely with the social media.
