MODIFIED MUTLIRESOLUTION MEDICAL IMAGE SEGMENTATION BASED ON WAVELET TRANSFORM?

Abstract
Wavelet Transform is used to analyze image. The watershed transformations a useful morphological segmentation tool is used for a variety of grey-scale images. An efficient method of segmentation is presented in this proposed method by modified multiresolution, which combines the pyramidal image segmentation with hierarchical watershed segmentation algorithm. The segmentation procedure consists of pyramid representation, image segmentation, region merging and region projection. Each layer is split into a number of regions by rooting labeling technique and boundary is extracted by threshold. Morphological operation is used to smooth the image.
