MODERN APPROACHES TO THE STUDY OF THE PROBLEM OF THE FORMATION OF SOCIAL MATURITY OF THE INDIVIDUAL

The article deals with the content of the phenomen on for «social maturity» in philosophy, sociology and pedagogy. It was determined that the philosophical and sociological studies have linked the social maturity with the development of the individual, the assimilation of the individual and social groups, social, moral norms. Native psychological theories are considered the phenomenon of «social maturity»in terms of value to society. In Western psychological theories of the concept of «social maturity» are seen as the result of individual self-determination. Pedagogical studies are considered the phenomenon of «social maturity» as a complex of social personality traits; integrated property of the person, which manifests itself in the formation of attitudes aimed at the conscious realization of social norms and values.
