CONCEPTUAL APPROACHES TO THE EVALUATION OF THE LEVEL OF TECHNICAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT OF ENTERPRISES

One of the key challenges faced by Ukrainian enterprises is to increase the competitiveness of their products. Such an increase requires the implementation of a set of scientifically sound measures in enterprises, including advanced technologies and equipment. However, the development of measures to update the technical and technological basis of enterprises requires a preliminary evaluation of the level of their technical and technological development. This paper outlines the essence of technical and technological development of enterprises as one of the types of the economic development. The main factors that influence the pace of technical and technological development of enterprises are highlighted, and their characteristics are determined. The specificity of organizing information support of the process of evaluation of the level of technical and technological development of enterprises is described. The indicators of such evaluation are suggested and the methodological principles of their application are introduced. In particular, we present the evaluation indicator for the level of enterprise technological advancement both for a particular type of products, which enterprise produces, and for all product types. The main technical and economic characteristics of the technological process that influence the level of its advancement are highlighted. In particular, these characteristics include the norms for consumption of resources, quality of products and effective lifetime of the equipment. The methodological foundations of comparing alternative variants of a certain technological process are viewed. It is revealed that the cost of productive inputs has a significant impact on the results of such a comparison. The correlation between the level of technical and technological development of enterprises and the competitiveness of their products is determined. The implementation of the approaches to the evaluation of the level of technical and technological development of enterprises will increase the degree of validity of decisions on developing measures for the technical re-equipment of enterprises.
