Abstract
The article covers social and pedagogical intentions of J. Ortega y Gasset's thoughts concerning “the Spanish problem”. In the speech called “Social Pedagogy as political program” (1910) J. Ortega y Gasset outlined ways of revival and renewal of Spain, assigning in this process great importance to social education and formation of values of social consolidation and national unity in the public consciousness.
