Life of Architect Cevat Ülger and His Understanding of Art

Developments after the announcement of the new republic created an artistic and lawful ground for demands for a change of the society during late ottoman era. During this period, architect artists rose whose approaches are modern, classical, national and eclectic. One of those architect artists is Cevat Ülger. Cevat Ülger came forward as a persona who had wide range of interests such as architecture, paint, hat, design and cartoons. Ülger had constructed architectural structures by using both unique and traditional approaches; however, generally his works had traditional characteristics. Cevat Ülger tried to combine both traditional and modern architectural approaches in his works. Modern art's effects are more significant in his works other than architect. Ülger has passed away at a young age but he tried to perform a unique and consistent understanding of art during his period and was very much successful by doing it.
