Abstract
Knowledge extraction from multidimensional data is a complex task. Object oriented paradigm is one of the evolving concepts to develop solutions with increased software reuse, software maintainability, and software quality. In this research work a software design is discussed to extract knowledge from multidimensional data base using object oriented concepts. It provides ways and means to incorporate any preprocessing functions such as data integration, data selection, and data transformation to be done over data base repositories. This design also provides a way to use one mining function result as input to any other mining function. It has been shown that how the design can be modified to give the reduced functionality as well as how it can be expanded to provide more functions.
