Abstract
The purpose of the research is to determine the nature of endocrine disorders in atopic dermatitis in children of early age. The material and methods. The study included 145 children aged from 8 mon ths to 2 years with severe extended atopic dermatitis. The content of thyroid - stimulating hormone, triiodothyronine and thyroxine, cortisol, insulin and fructosamine in serum was studied in patients with atopic dermatitis during periods of exacerbation and clinical remission. The results. In patients with atopic dermatitis in the period of exacerbation of the disease, there are signs of a hypofunctional state of the thyroid gland, adrenal cortex and the endocrine apparatus of the pancreas. Similar disorders of endocrine glands function are detected in children with atopic dermatitis and in the period of clinical remission.
