MODERN MODIFYING ADDITIVES FOR THE PRODUCTION OF CONCRETE MIX

The use of modifying additives can reduce the water content in the concrete mix and increase both early and grade st rength of concrete. However, the increased costs of plasticizing additives slow hydration of Portland cement minerals, which reduces the speed of cement stone strength at an early age (12 - 18 hours). During researches, it is shown that efficiency of action of plasticizing additives can be increased due to introduction in Portland cement systems of fine mineral fillers in optimum quantity.
