Abstract
This paper gives the review of optimal placement and sizing of DG to overcome the protection coordination and power quality issues. Several methods have been developed to overcome the power quality problems such as voltage sag, harmonic distortions, voltage swells. And also the integration of dg causes changes in the magnitude and direction of short circuit currents which may lead to false tripping or fail to trip relays this paper gives some methods used by researchers to improve the protection coordination and power quality issues.
