Abstract
The article provides a sample review of determinants that have a significant impact on investment activity on the research of foreign scientists. Investigation of the factors influencing investment provides a better understanding of the whole process of economic development and indicates those parameters that could be influenced by policy measures aimed at stimulating long-term growth on the one hand and deterring the unemployment rate on the other. The study of this topic led to the conclusion that the direction of the influence of the above factors on the investment climate may be different. Variables can influence foreign direct investment both positively and negatively. In empirical studies, a different combination of these determinants is used as explanatory variables. The model of an estimation of investment activity on an example of Greece is analyzed. The formulas of determinants as explanatory variables are investigated.
