Abstract
Cryoprecipitate , frequently transfused as a source of Fibrinogen also has Factor VIII and Von Willebrand factor. Cryoprecipitates are prepared by thawing Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFP) in controlled conditions and then resuspending the insoluble precipitate in a small quantity of plasma . Fresh Frozen Plasma can be prepared by processing whole blood at either 220C or 40C . We conducted this study to see whether there is any difference in quality of cryoprecipitate from FFP prepared by processing blood at two different temperatures (4C and 22C).
