Behavior of gestational diabetes mellitus in a maternal home

Abstract
A study was carried out with the aim of presenting the behavior of gestational diabetes in Guantanamo Maternal Home during the years 2014-2015. The universe consisted of 523 diagnosed patients. Sources of information were taken from the statistical records, controls of the program manager. The variables were studied: the age of the pregnant woman, the gestational age, the personal obstetric history and the nursing function. These were used as abstract measures, absolute numbers, percentages, rates and percent variation. The greatest number of patients with gestational diabetes corresponded to the ages between 30-39 years. Few births were preterm. No deaths were found in neonatal fetal, congenital anomalies. Conclusions and recommendations were issued.
