ADNEXAL TORSION ON OVARIAN CYST IN THE FIRST TRIMESTER OF PREGNANCY: ABOUT 3 CASES

Abstract

Adnexal masses in pregnancy are not commonly encoutered. The majority of these masses are discovered incidentally during routine echography. However, some of these masses become symptomatic due to their size, location and impingement of adjacent structures. Surgy during pregnancy exposes to the risk of early abortion or prematurity. The benefit-risk balance must take into account the obstetrical issue, the importance of not ignoring a malignant payhology and the prevention of complications related to the ovarien cyst. We report 3 cases of adnexal torsion on ovarian cyst in the first trimester of pregnancy, having benefited from a surgical treatment with good postoperative evolution. To draw attention to this diangnosis of adnexal torsion which is an emergency not to be ignored in front of any acute pelvic pain in the pregnant woman.
