Abstract
The main processes that occur during the self-start of pumping units of pumping stations of the machine water-lifting systems for irrigation, ensuring the rational use of electricity, pumping power equipment and irrigation water are considered. The features of transient processes in case of emergency shutdown of pumping units from the power system and self-start are investigated, recommendations are given to determine the optimal self-start modes, as well as the effect of self-start on energy saving and resource saving in pumping stations, the results of experimental studies are presented.
