Abstract
The paper deals with the Russian films, devoted to the First World War, which were made in 2008- 2016: Crimson Colour of the Snowfall (Bagrovy Tsvet Snegopada), Garpastum, Battalion, The Heritage of Love (Geroy) and the miniseries Mata Hari. The films are different in their genre and point: from a historical melodrama to elaborated war-historical drama with the newsreel of 1917, which was made with the support of the Military Historical Society.
