Abstract
National board of education introduced an exclusive thoracic only training model in 2014 for residents who have completed general surgery training. It was introduced with an intent of providing focused surgical training for the pathologies of thoracic viscera requiring surgery. This study aims to find out the need for such a curriculum, the reception for the training model among prospective residents and compares the same with the reception for 3 years cardiothoracic training model offered by national board of education.
