Abstract
Vascular injury involving upper limb are commonly associated with fractures, making management more difficult. Early vascular repair, skeletal stabilisation and mobilisation of the limb prevents developement of joint stiffness, disuse atropy and helps the patient return to his daily activities earlier. Pre operative ischemic time should bekept minimum. Vascular repair was done first, followed by skeletal stabilisation and finally adequacy of the vascularity was again checked. In closed and clean wounds definitive primary internal fixation done and in patients with open contaminated wounds external fixation applied.
