Abstract
Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are the leading cause of death in the world. This stimulates a large number of studies devoted to this problem. This article presents an analysis of mortality from diseases of circulatory system (DCS) in the Ryazan region over 5 years (2012-2016). It is shown that, despite reduction in mortality from DCS, the mortality rate from all causes remains practically unchanged. The greatest contribution to mortality from DCS is made by ischemic heart disease and cerebrovascular diseases. The article presents the data on the mortality and morbidity of DCS in the Ryazan region for 2012-2016. Comparison of death rates between the RF and the Ryazan district showed a rather significant reduction in death rate from CVD in 2016 (by 19.3%) which does not correspond to the dynamics of this parameter for the RF. The operational data of the Territorial Statistics Body indicate a «rebound» of CVD mortality to 667.3 cases per 100 000 of population for the period January-September 2017. The greatest contribution to the reduction in CVD mortality is made by steadily decreasing mortality from ischemic heart disease. The fall of this parameter from 2013 to 2016 was 44.9%. In 2016, it was at the level of 230.6 cases per 100 000 of population, which is lower than in the Central Federal District (351.1) and in the Russian Federation on the whole (328.5). On the contrary, the incidence of CVD in the last 5 years, in contrast to the death rates, tends to increase, which may be due to improved clinical examination and registration of diseases. Thus, mortality from CVD in the Ryazan region shows a tendency to reduction. However, mortality from all causes remains at a significantly high level and shows only an insignificant reduction. The greatest contributors to mortality from CVD are naturally made by ischemic heart disease and cerebrovascular diseases. The incidence of DCS is increasing both on the whole and for separate diseases.
