Multidisciplinary therapeutic intervention in obese patients without associated diseases

Abstract
An intervention study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of multidisciplinary therapy in obese patients without associated disease Turey area in the municipality Baracoa, Guantanamo, 2012 - 2013. The universe was composed of 192 selected patients. The team was made 3 physicians, one nutritionist, one psychologist and 5 teachers of sports. The variables were evaluated: age, sex, most frequent causes of obesity, evaluation of the intervention according to clinical evolution of patients. The information was obtained from personal medical history, family record, medical, nutritional and psychological counseling, early intervention, during and at the end of this. The physical exercises were conducted for 1 hour with patients less than 60 years for 30 minutes, during 3 months. Ages between 25-59 were predominated in this study female sex, excessive calorie intake in women, stress in the male, the therapeutic area and most attended patients perform exercises, preoperatively obesity lightly, then overweight status, conclusions and recommendations were issued.
