Characterizations of pregnant teenagers that were admitted to the special perinatal care

Abstract
A descriptive, retrospective and cross-sectional study was conducted to characterize the pregnant teenagers that were admitted to the Perinatal Special Care at the General Teaching Hospital “Dr. Agostinho Neto” in Guantanamo during 2014. The study group consisted of 78 patients. The variables analyzed age group, onset of sexual relations, knowledge of contraceptive methods, use of leisure time and family functionality. The primary data was obtained from medical records and interviews. Predominated pregnant teenagers aged 15-19 who initiated sex in those years, with partners of their same age, which influenced not know little about contraception, which used the free time to talk with friends and a severely dysfunctional family.
