Driven by extraordinary force development goals and compeon with China, India is extending its naval military capability and security connecons throughout the Indian Ocean. India is keen on building new alliances all over the globe. This study provides an analysis of India's sea based aspiraons and arrangements in the Indian Ocean and finds that augmented Indian power in the Indian Ocean will be perilous for Pakistan's naonal security interests
