Abstract
It has been researched and continue learning about the processes involved in decoding the written word. This article focuses on one of these processes, phonological awareness, which is a metacognitive ability to manipulate the minimum oral segments.
This skill plays an important role in literacy learning. As will shape the various conceptions of disorders that result from it and rehabilitation and intervention of phonological awareness.
