Abstract
The case of a neonate in Regional Hospital Suddie of Guyana with neck tumor, was presented and diagnosed as cystic lymphangioma, rare malformation and whose diagnosis is made early in pregnancy by prenatal ultrasound evaluation of the region of the neck of the fetus. Excessive expansion or increased translucency in the hindhead may be related to a cystic lymphangioma. Congenital malformations are structural defects present at birth caused by a prenatal disorder during morphogenesis. Prenatal ultrasound performed in the first and second trimester of pregnancy by trained personnel is an average economic diagnosis and non-invasive allowing early diagnosis and taking behavior early in resource-poor countries.
