Abstract
This article discusses the theoretical substantiation of the concept of “moral culture”. The formation of moral culture of University students has always interested scientists and teachers. Society that cares about its reproduction should take care of the state of morality, form a moral culture among young people that meets the requirements of the era and historical conditions, transmit moral values to future generations. Society that does not care about its moral health is a doomed society. To develop to the highest degree individual and national morality means to educate a person and nation. The concept of moral culture is also closely related to the terms “ethics” and “morality”, which are inherently synonymous. For the first time, the theoretical justification of the division of the notions of ethics and morality was proposed by Hegel, who believed that they should describe various phenomena of spiritual life. Under morality, he understood the subjective importance of human behavior, and morality is a practical relationship, embodied in the historical experience of a family, civil society and state.
