Abstract
The article provides data on European green toad's breeding, population size and importance for its biocoenosis in newly used areas in Southwestern Kyzylkum. Favorable conditions for the breeding and development of European green toad created near artificial bodies of water, which led to the increase of its population. In spring the density of the toad's population in the territory of Gazli's sewage works averages 3.3 units per 1 km of the transect in March, 2.9 in April and 3.4 in May. In Karnabchul we recorded an average of 0.02 units per 1 ha in March, 0.6 in April and 0.1 in May. Dead frogs were recorded on the asphalt roads of Gazli. During surveys, we registered from 1 to 5 dead units (3 on average) per 1 km in March and 1-3 (1.7) in April. Mynas and their nestlings feed on young toads.
