Abstract
Today almost every person in the world strives to have ideal body contours in different anatomical areas, which is a basis of physical and psychosomatic health. This work was carried out to determine the causes of unsatisfactory cosmetic results in the early and late postoperative periods in the correction of cosmetic defects in the anterior abdominal wall and the search for ways to eliminate these shortcomings. The results of complex clinical treatment of 123 patients with anterior abdominal wall cosmetic defects were analyzed. Abdominoplasty was performed with lower-horizontal hypogastric access in the early and late postoperative periods. It has been established that the undesirable consequences of treatment due to a combination of causes (47.1%) in men and women, with a slightly higher frequency with respect to the women (55.8%, p≤0.05), have the highest frequency of negative clinical manifestations. The unsatisfactory characterization of the postoperative scar is most strongly associated with the components of elasticity, vascularization and pigmentation and has a correlation relationship with the quality of life of patients. Abdominoplasty as a method of correction of cosmetic defects of anterior abdominal wall gives high qualitative and quantitative results with the correct choice of method, volume and boundaries of the operation. When planning manipulations with skin-fat flaps of anterior abdominal wall, you need to consider the entire range of tissue properties involved in the surgical intervention area. Improvement of preventive measures to prevent the emergence of negative cosmetic treatment results will improve the quality of life in this patient's category.
