Göç ve Sanat: Türk Resminde Göç ve Göçmen İmgesi

The aim of this article is to analyse the perception of migration and migrants together with the emigrés. After defining the meanings of migration, the perception of migration will be elaborated via the art history. Then one will find out the different manners and periods based on migration within Turkish painting art. It can be argued that the economic, political and cultural Dynamics constitute the reasons and themes of migration, as perceived also by the Turkish artists. Since 1960s, the works of Nedim Günsür, Nil Yalter, sarkis, Gülsün Karamustafa, Handan Börüteçene, Hüseyin Bahri Alptekib, Ergin Çavuşoğlu and Serkan Demir will be interpreted.
