Abstract
The communicative language teaching approach is one of the most efficient methods to keep away from the feebleness of the traditional English teaching method in evolving students’ communicative ability. Using games, which is communicative in essence, are often regarded effectual in developing students’ communicative ability. In order to help English teachers accomplish the communicative language teaching approach , on the basis of indicating the weaknesses of the traditional teaching method, being the subject of wide speculation what the communicative language teaching approach is, claims the value and significance of using games in English-teaching class, acquaints with diverse types of games that could be used in class, and shows some suggestions when using the games.
