Abstract
The article touches upon the factor of coherence of the interlocutors' conceptual systems in the pro- cess of speech interaction. While communicating people should take into account that there can be certain differ- ences in the interpretation of concepts as well as their various hierarchy in the interlocutors' individual concep- tual systems. Non-compliance with this principle leads to a situation of cognitive dissonance, which means any discrepancy between cognitions, i.e. between any knowledge, as well as opinions, values or beliefs relating to the environment, someone or someone's behavior
