THE MAIN FEATURES OF THE ARRANGEMENT OF GRAVESTONES OF JALILABAD AND LANKARAN

The article provides information about the artistic features of the monumental monuments of the southern regions of Azerbaijan, Jalilabad and Lankaran. The main feature of the gravestones in different regions of Azerbaijan is the use of various ornaments in their artistic arrangement. We can see these traditions on grave- stones existing in the southern districts, Jalilabad and Lankaran. The gravestones of the Jalilabad and Lankaran districts of the modern period now have a general character like other regions, which indicates a departure from ancient traditions. Unfortunately, deviation from traditions do not allow to this art to be presented at the proper level
