Abstract
In recent years DASH has become the de facto standard for video streaming. However, applications continue to demand more bandwidth in an effort to satisfy users. This is based on applications such as 360° and immersive Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality (VR/AR) video. This paper explores current state of the art and introduces the
reader to some of these DASH-aware bandwidth intensive applications.
