Abstract

Currently, the role of the system of additional education in the preparation of the younger generation is significantly increasing. It is designed to solve the most important social problem associated with the identification and development of the inclinations and abilities of children that will ensure their sustainable self-development in life. The urgency lies in the fact that the system of additional education of children is increasingly perceived as a service sector (specific services related to the formation of a person’s personality, the reproduction of intellectual resources, the transmission of cultural values). Because of this, the process of modernization of the system of additional education contributes to the fact that institutions of additional education of children become subjects of the educational services market. It follows that in modern conditions the preservation, development and relevance of the services provided by this institution depends on the ability of the leadership of the institution of additional education of children to carry out timely activities for the modernization and development of this institution. Of particular importance is the development of strategic changes and the reorientation of the educational process in accordance with the needs of society. The whole system of additional education is based on the development of those inclinations that are available to children of different ages. Voluntary work is a significant advantage of this system over compulsory education. Supplementary education for children (DOD) is considered as one of the components of the system of continuous education, satisfying the educational and creative needs of the child, designed to provide the child with additional opportunities for intellectual, spiritual and physical development.
