Assessment of the quality of drinking water of various sources by the method of biotesting

Abstract
The article presents the results of hydrochemical studies of tap and spring water, identified toxicity indexes using the test object of the infusoria Paramecium caudatum. Sampling was performed according to generally accepted methods. The methods of ion chromatography and atomic absorption spectrometry were used. It is established that the results obtained are within the MPC. Drinking water of the city of Birsk has sufficient hardness. The situation with the content of chemicals in the drinking water under study is generally favorable. According to the results of biotesting, tap and spring water is not highly toxic.
