Abstract
The article deals with the main aspects of the relationship of international legal relations and religion in ancient Rome. Two trends have been identified: the development of an international diplomatic Protocol and religion as a guarantee of the implementation of agreements. The theoretical basis of the study are 13 domestic and foreign sources.
