Abstract

The study included 92 children aged 12–15 years with duodenal ulcer. We investigated the content of populations and subpopulations of lymphocytes in the blood, immunoglobulins and circulating immune complexes in the blood serum, phagocytosis indices, proinflammatory cytokines content in serum blood in the active stage of the disease and in the stage of incomplete clinical remission at patients. The observed patients with duodenal ulcer were divided into three groups depending on the therapy. The first group of patients (30 patients) received complex conventional therapy, the second group of patients (32 patients) received complex treatment in combination with Imunofan injection, the third group of patients (30 patients) received complex treatment in combination with polyoxidonium injection. It was found that in the first group of patients in the phase of incomplete clinical remission, significant changes in the immunity parameters were revealed, while in the second and third groups, in the phase of incomplete clinical remission, there was an obvious tendency to normalization of the immunologic reactivity indicators. In the first group of patients, 7–10 months after discharge from the hospital, disease recurrences were registered, while in the second and third groups of patients the clinical remission was maintained
