Researchers across the globe have already proved that the right value of lux levels for different task and activities can improve the psychological effect and visual performance of a person. So, this paper presents a device which can simultaneously control and display the real time lux output received on working surface by electrical luminaires such as LED and Incandescent bulbs based on IES recommendation of any focused task activities. In the sequel of this paper, energy saving potential with this device as a lighting gear had been shown in this finding. The lighting gear was tested with the aforementioned luminaires. A 4X4 keypad was used to select the lux level of a working plane accurately in the form of duty cycle and a LCD display was used to show the illumination received on the working plane in terms of lux. An arduino UNO was used to supervise all the associated hardwires.
