Abstract
Manufacturing sector can be divided into two parts in India --- organised and unorganised. Both are different from each other in terms of business volume, employment, technologies as well as contribution to GDP. This paper attempts to highlight the importance of unorganised sector and study the challenges faced by it and also the opportunities available to it.
