UNSTEADY PERIODIC FLOW OF A VISCOUS FLUID THROUGH A POROUS PLANER CHANNEL WITH HEAT GENERATION UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF TRANSVERSE MAGNETIC FIELD

Abstract
In this paper we studied an unsteady periodic flow of a viscous incompressible fluid through a porous planer channel with heat generation under the influence of transverse magnetic field. The governing equations are solved by perturbation technique. Closed form solutions are obtained for the fluid velocity and the temperature. Further skin friction in terms of shear stress and rate of heat transfer in terms of Nusselt number are also derived. The effects of various parameters on the flow fields velocity, temperature, skin friction coefficient and Nusselt number have been discussed with the help of graphs and tables.
