Abstract

A robotic arm is nowadays used in almost all the industries where automation is required or has been incorporated. For flawless and efficient operation, the robotic arm needs to be controlled precisely according to the requirements of the operator. Wireless control of the robotic arm enables us to achieve the required objectives of seamless and coherent operational control. This paper explores the possibility of wireless control of robotic arm using a self-developed Android application and an HC-05 Bluetooth module. The Android app enables us to control the servomotors pertaining to the joints of the robotic arm at a simple click of a button designed specifically as a part of the interface of the Android application. We further go on to implement simple pick and place operations thus, validating our faith in a technology that will definitely form an integral part of the human ecosystem in the nearby future.
