Abstract
This article presents a prospective overview of embedded devices for sport health and connected health applications. Because of wearable devices are becoming familiar to all ages subject and commonly used to maximize performance and minimize injuries, they are an new way to help health care professionals to monitor real-time physiologic and movements parameters in patients, as was made previously on high level athletes. This will helpfully contribute on diagnosis process, and develop predictive medicine. Moreover, wearable devices present a real alternative to develop e-health in southern countries, with benefit of low cost and high connectivity on these technologies. Despite of this, actual limits on motion artifacts analysis and system reliability over time represent an important drawback for using wearables.
